This heat expanded form of Vermiculite is the type used for growing vegetables, fruit, other crops and general use in the horticultural industry.Vermiculite has the excellend property of improving soil aeration while retaining the moisture and nutrients necessary to feed roots, cuttings and seeds for faster growth. Like Perlite, horticultural Vermiculite is permanent, clean, odorless, non-toxic and sterile. When used in hydroponics, Vermiculite is often mixed 1:5 or 1:10 with Perlite.Vermiculite is available for sale in 100 litre size bags.
